Caitlin Clark's Boyfriend Claps Back at Clark's Playful Birthday Basketball Tease

    By Grant Young,

Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark met her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, while the two were both attending the University of Iowa.

McCaffrey played both baseball (albeit for one season) and basketball at Iowa. And his father, Fran McCaffery, is the Iowa men's basketball's head coach, and is the winningest head coach in Iowa men's basketball history.

Now that Connor McCaffery's basketball playing career has come to a close, he's working as an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers; which is fitting, since Clark is also based in Indiana.

McCaffery celebrated his 26th birthday on Saturday.

And Clark shouted him out with a wholesome series of Instagram photos and the caption, "Happy Birthday Con! Celebrating you is easy :) thankful to have someone as selfless and as loving as you in my life🖤 May this be the year you finally find a way to outshoot me ;) Love you always 🥺🤍".

And McCaffery responded to Clark's tease about shooting in the replies.

"Thank u b 🥹 Love you forever 🤞🏼❤️," McCaffery initially wrote.

"And I’ll keep letting you win those shooting contests!!!!!" he added afterwards.

We have a feeling that Clark doesn't need McCaffery to let her win any shooting contests.
