    Two former Huskers to play in minor league All-Star Game

    Two former Nebraska baseball players will play in a minor league all-star game later this month. Max Buttenback and Case Sanderson will represent the Great Plains Division in the Northwood League All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 23.

    Buettenback is the league leader with a .442 batting average and ranks second in on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS. He is also tied for fourth with four homers and sits seventh with 38 RBI while recording eight doubles and scoring 29 runs in 30 games for the Willmar Stingers.

    Sanderson is hitting .363 with six doubles and three homes in 21 games for the La Crosse Loggers. He holds nine multi-hit games and has accounted for four four-plus runs in seven of the 21 games.

    The game will occur at ISG Field in Mankato, MN, with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
