It's never easy to leave a pet. Whether it's for work or vacation, we need to know they're taken care of while we're away. For one dog named Wally, he'll hardly notice Mom and Dad are gone because he's going to Grandma's for a super fun sleepover!

On July 9, @wally.meets.world shared the adorable TikTok video showing the moment Grandma arrives to pick Wally up for a fun night away! Take a look!

"He gets soooo excited when his grandma comes to pick him up for his mini vacay. A new toy always helps," the caption says. In the clip, Wally patiently waits on the outside balcony for Grandma to arrive. She's picking him up for his sleepover while Mom and Dad have a little vacation and he's so excited.

Once Grandma arrives, Wally can't contain his joy. He paws at the fencing, hopping around her as she comes through, and she even has a gift, which Wally happily takes to show off to his parents. "She always brings a toy," the video says and Wally isn't complaining!

With 60,000 likes and hundreds of comments, many chimed in to say how sweet the whole interaction is, including Wally getting a new toy to ease him into time away from them.

"The way heā€™s showing off his new toy. So cute," one person wrote. "He just seems so happy that she exists in the same world as him. Like heā€™s just a happy man," another added. "He makes my heart want to burst," another said.

Wally is the sweetest, and we're sure he had the best time at Grandma's!

How To Ease Your Dog's Separation Anxiety

Wally's lucky because he has an amazing grandma to take care of him when his parents are gone. For some, boarding is an option, or even hiring a petsitter. Either way, the change in routine and not having you around can cause stress. PetMD says there are some things you can do to help a dog with separation anxiety .

If possible, seek out help from a trainer, vet, or pet behaviorist to work on behavior modification. This will help desensitize any anxiety they feels when away from you, but it takes time and patience to nail down.

Make sure they have plenty of toys and giving them a new toy each time you leave (the way Wall's grandma did) will take the edge off your absence. Exercise is also key to work off their nerves. Interactive toys and certain medications may also help.

Not all dogs with separation anxiety will do as well as Wally, but with some patienceā€“and a new toy!ā€”they won't even notice you're gone.
