    Man Falls Through An Apartment Building And Arrested By Police For His Crimes

    After allegedly falling through an Elmira, New York apartment ceiling while evading authorities, a wanted man was taken into custody.

    The Elmira Police Department reports that at approximately 6:26 p.m. on July 12, police were summoned to an apartment complex about a report of George Wilson, a wanted individual.

    Officers attempted to speak with Wilson as they surrounded the building. However, one of the building's occupants walked outside as soon as the police came to inform them that Wilson had fallen into their apartment from the attic.


    Tumbled Inside An Apartment

    Wilson tumbled inside an apartment, which was held by police, and they continued to call Wilson to come out of hiding. After a quick search, Wilson was located by a K9 Unit from the Schuyler County Sheriff's Office, and he was taken into custody without any additional incidents.

    Wilson was wanted on three felony counts: second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled drug (with intent to sell).

    In addition, he was wanted on a separate warrant for misdemeanour seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled narcotic.


    Charges On Wilson

    Wilson was taken into custody and is presently housed at the Chemung County Jail according to a warrant issued by the Chemung County Court.

    Wilson was wanted on a warrant out of Chemung County Court on three felony counts: criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and possession of a controlled drug with the intent to sell.

    He was additionally wanted on a City of Elmira Court warrant for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, which is a misdemeanour. Wilson was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanour, following the incident on Friday.
