    Gov. Shapiro orders US, Commonwealth flags to half-staff

    ( WJET/WFXP ) – Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, per the United States flag code, ordered flags on all Commonwealth buildings to be flown half-staff following a shooting death at a Trump rally.

    This honors Corey Comperatore, a Pennsylvania resident who was shot in killed during the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump at his rally in Butler County Saturday evening.

    Flags should be lowered to half-staff until sunset on the date of interment, which at this time has not been announced, all Pennsylvanians are invited to participate in the tribute.

    Shapiro in a press conference Sunday afternoon extended his thoughts and prayers to Comperatore’s family, President Trump and the two Pennsylvanians who remain in critical condition and their families.
