Man found dead with multiple stab wounds near airport, murder investigation opened

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Department of Law Enforcement has opened a murder investigation after a man was found dead with multiple stab wounds under the overpass near Rogers Boulevard.

Honolulu Police Department said a deputy sheriff found the man just before 7 a.m. before securing the scene.

After a preliminary investigation, DLE identified the victim as a 51-year-old man who may have been homeless.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene to assist in the investigation and made the death pronouncement at 7:16 a.m.

At this time, the suspect is still unknown.

Assistance from HPD’s Homicide Detail and Scientific Investigation Section was also requested to process the scene.
