A toasty start to next week; cool end of the week with chances of rain around

Sunday evening will start off on the warm side with temps in the 80s under a few clouds. A few showers can’t be ruled out during the evening hours as a system moves into Ohio, with the best chances the further north you live or travel. As we get later into the night, it will become another calm night under a few clouds with temps dropping into the 60s once again.
Monday morning once again looks easy for anyone hitting the road. Temps in the 60s will quickly upgrade to temps in the 70s by lunchtime as they continue to rocket into the 90s. Heat and humidity will bring in the chance for some showers, with a strong storm or two possible the further north you travel, but anything we see will be quite isolated.
Tuesday, unfortunately, won’t help much with our dry spell. It will be yet another warm day on tap however as temps go from the 60s in the morning all the way up into the 90s by the afternoon. Once again, the heat and humidity will play the chance for a hit or miss shower here or there, but better chances will hold off until Wednesday.
Wednesday finally brings in a little relief as a cold front passes through. Scattered showers early will be followed by scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies will also make for a much cooler day with temps in the 80s. Rain chances will continue into the overnight as our cold front passes through.
Thursday will be a welcome change of pace, especially for our temps. We wake up to temps in the 60s but thanks to a northern flow, temps will only reach into the 70s during the afternoon timeframe. Our cold front will eventually stall out over the Carolinas, but it’s close enough to keep the chance for showers around, especially in the morning.
Friday is still under the influence of our nearby stalled front. As temps go from near 60 to just in the 70s during the day, isolated chances will again be possible during the day. Best chances will be the closer you are to Virginia, but even if you don’t see any rain, the temps will be a nice reprieve from our ‘summertime’ weather.
Saturday continues where Friday left off as we continue to remain under the influence of our nearby stalled front. If you wish to make a trip up to northern WV, you’ll likely not see much in the way of showers. The best chances will be the farther south you travel, with isolated chances throughout your Saturday with temps in the 80s.
Sunday sees our stalled front boundary lift a little up to the north. This once again will bring in the chance for showers throughout the day, but the day should also see plenty of breaks as well. Cloudy skies will hamper afternoon highs as they only reach into the low 80s.
In your extended forecast, the chance for rain will continue into the following week. It won’t rain all the time, but the chance will be around as temps start to climb back into the 80s through the middle of the following week.
