Team USA Coach Scoffs at ESPN Reporter's Question About Caitlin Clark's National Team Future

    By Grant Young,

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever marched into Target Center on Sunday and defeated the Minnesota Lynx by a score of 81-74.

This victory was surely especially for sweet for Clark, considering who the Lynx's coach is.

Cheryl Reeve is not only the Lynx's longtime head coach (and GM) and one of the greatest women's basketball coaches of all time, but she's also the head coach of the USA women's basketball national team.

While it's fair enough that Clark didn't make Reeve's Team USA for these upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics due to lack of experience, Reeve scoffed at the mere mention of Clark's future national team potential on Sunday.

ESPN reporter Myron Medcalf posted on X Sunday, "I asked Cheryl Reeve about Caitlin Clark on future national teams:

"'Why the h*** would I answer a national team question?' she said.

'I'm wearing Lynx. And I'm the head coach of the national team but I'm not the chair of the committee. Anybody want to venture into anything else?'" Reeve continued.

The post already has nearly 400,000 views, and Medcalf added that her response will be featured on tonight's edition of SportsCenter.

Reeve clearly wants to say nothing nice about Clark.
