    Four Oklahomans Picked on First Night of MLB Draft

    On the first night of the Major League Baseball Draft, four native Oklahomans were selected in the first two rounds.

    Two went in the first round, with former Yukon High School and OSU outfielder Carson Benge going 19th overall to the New York Mets.

    Elk City pitcher Kash Mayfield went 25th overall to the San Diego Padres.

    Two more Oklahoma pitchers went in the second round, with Edmond North’s Owen Hall going 49th overall to the Detroit Tigers, and Yukon’s Payton Tolle of TCU going 50th overall to the Boston Red Sox.

    Rounds 3 through 10 will be Monday.
