Excited about a tax-free shopping spree?

Ohio’s sales tax holiday has expanded to 10 days this year, running from July 30 to August 8. This sales tax holiday allows shoppers to make tax-free purchases on eligible items up to $500. Each purchase made during this holiday, online or in person, will be exempt from the state's 5.75% sales tax and any additional county or local sales taxes.

The supersized sales tax holiday extends to your dine-in restaurant tab (but not any alcoholic drinks on the bill).

Want to know what your exempted tax rate will be in your county? Here’s each county's tax rate, according to the Ohio government website.
