Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever traveled to Minnesota on Sunday to face the Lynx. Before the Fever's 81-74 victory, Clark was seen with Lynx star and Team USA women's basketball member Napheesa Collier.

WNBA fans reacted to the interaction between Clark and Collier, mentioning "game recognizes game." Collier has developed into one of the best players in the league, averaging over 20 points per game in the last two seasons.

The 6-foot-1 forward was ruled out of Sunday's game as she works through a foot injury, but she was on the sideline during warmups, where she met with Clark.

Collier is one of the leading MVP candidates in the WNBA, averaging 20 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game.

"This is exactly how you would hope vets would treat the younger generation of WNBA players!" said one fan.

Clark hasn't reached MVP status at the WNBA level yet, but the first-year star is battling for the league's Rookie of the Year award, mainly competing against Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.

Clark has averaged 16.8 points and 7.8 assists per game this season for the Fever (11-14). In the win over Minnesota, the rookie out of Iowa recorded 17 points and six assists.

"This is great to see, experienced players greeting the rookies. You can be competitors but you can still show class and have respect for each other," said another fan.

Clark and Collier will be back in the same arena on July 20 when the USA Basketball Women's National Team takes on Team WNBA in the All-Star game . The matchup will tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET in Phoenix, Arizona.

Collier is on Team USA's roster, while Clark will be on the WNBA All-Star team. They'll be competitors next weekend, but there was a clear sign of respect between the two when the Fever played Minnesota on Sunday.
