    PHOTOS: Prince George firefighters respond to chemical spill on Country Drive

    PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Firefighters responded to a truck stop on County Drive in Prince George County on Friday to prevent a chemical spill from harming the local ecosystem.

    According to Prince George County Fire and EMS, around 50 to 75 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from a tractor-trailer at the Pilot Travel Station, located on County Drive near Interstate 295, on Friday, July 12.

    Prince George hazardous materials units and the environmental response crew responded to the scene and contained the spill.

    Prince George Fire and EMS said there was no active danger to the public while the incident was taking place.
