After Jenn Tran said her first round of goodbyes during The Bachelorette ‘s Season 21 premiere , she and her 18 remaining men headed to Australia for the next stage of their love story.

Among those remaining eligible men is Grant Ellis, who came to shoot his shot (literally) on Night 1.

During his Night 1 intro video, the 30-year-old day trader from Houston, Texas revealed he’s been playing basketball since he was eight years old and was the first Division I signee at his high school. “I ended up graduating from Albertus Magnus College and then I went oversees as a professional athlete,” Ellis told viewers. “But then I got injured, so my career ended.”

After his memorable limo exit, Grant stole Jenn later in the night to shoot some hoops and get to know each other a bit better. Since he’s made it to Episode 2, it’s time for Bachelor Nation to get Grant a bit better. Don’t you think?
