Scottie Scheffler's Gift From Tom Kim At Open Championship Turns Heads

Scottie Scheffler and Tom Kim teamed up on Monday to give some special gifts to a group of young fans. While both players are preparing for The Open in Scotland, they spent some time with PGA Tour fans on the sidelines.

Scheffler was signing autographs for a group of boys when Kim tossed a golf ball at him, telling him to "sign it for me."

"Tom, there's children back here. Take it easy," Scheffler jokingly admonished Kim for the thrown golf ball. He then proceeded to give the ball to one of the kids, saying it was "a gift from Tom Kim."

Kim and Scheffler have been known to share a tight bond. The No. 1 golfer in the PGA Tour rankings recently defeated the South Korean native in the Travelers Championship on June 23.

The 28-year-old Scheffler has been on an absolute tear in the 2024 PGA Tour season. He's won six tournaments this year, securing the most PGA Tour victories before July 1 since Arnold Palmer in the 1960s.

He will look to add to his trophy case at the 2024 Open Championship. His appearance in Scotland will be the first time he hits the links since his Travelers Championship victory about three weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old Kim has also been making a successful name for himself in the 2024 PGA season. He's the No. 17-ranked golfer in the world rankings, with his best finish coming behind Scheffler as the Travelers Championship runner-up.

Scheffler and Kim's interaction with the fans displays the strong relationship these golf stars have with their fanbase.
