A funny Golden Retriever smelled someone in the neighborhood cooking up something delicious, and they really wanted in on it.
On July 13, 2024, TikTok user Hudson Mason (@hudsonbegood) shared a video of the silly pup who held nothing back when he was hungry. Take a look!
In a quick nine-second video we meet Hudson, a good boy Golden Retriever who has a good smelling nose.

"When you smell the neighbor's hot dogs and burgers," the text on the video reads which includes emojis.
"... and pray they'll share with you," it concludes.
That's probably a thought we all have when we can smell someone in our neighborhood BBQing up some of our favorite foods. But what Hudson did beyond try and find who was cooking took his act to a hilarious other level.
In the clip, the Golden Retriever stands on a garden bed with his two front paws on the white picket fence that separates his home from the neighbors'.
It's clear the neighbors on the other side of the fence are the ones who are cooking, and with the way the funny pup is standing, it looks like he's hoping they seem him peeking over. And that he can use his doggy eyes to persuade them to toss him a burger or hot dog.
"Anyone care to share?" the video's caption reads, and people have a fun time with this clip in the comment section.
One person wrote, "I do that every night!"
Another shared, "I'd like to place an order!"
Someone else continued, "I’d give you my lunch lil furbaby."
Another TikTok viewer asked, "Did they share? Please tell me yes."
One comment wrote, "So cute! so well mannered he deserves a little bite of anything."
And someone else added, "Who can say no? Look at the cutest dog, love it."
Can Dogs Eat Hot Dogs and Hamburgers?
According to the American Kennel Club, the answer to whether dogs can eat hot dogs and hamburgers is a little more nuanced than just a yes or a no. It all depends on what's on the burger or hot dog because that can make a very big difference.
"Chances are, your burger might have added salt, spices, and toppings that can be dangerous to dogs, such as onion or garlic," the club says. "For our dogs, feeding seasoned meat is a recipe for unpleasant digestive upset at best, and pancreatitis at worst."
But if you want to give your dog something that you know doesn't contain any dangerous items, and you want to toss a plain patty on the grill, it can be a healthy food for your pup.
"Unseasoned and cooked hamburger meat can be a healthy source of protein in addition to your dog’s regular, balanced diet," the club explains. "This is true in general of ground beef, turkey, chicken, and pork. Just make sure to cut the meat up into bite-sized pieces to prevent dog choking hazards."
As for hot dogs, these tend to contain far too much sodium for them to be a good food for dogs in general.
"Feeding a dog too much sodium can lead to dehydration. And over time, excess sodium can lead to high blood pressure, just as it can in humans," the American Kennel Club writes. " Hot dogs can also be a choking hazard , especially for big dogs that might try to swallow them without chewing them."
