EC3 Reflects On International NWA Heavyweight Title Defenses

EC3 has discussed his recent tour of Europe as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

The former WWE superstar recently defended his NWA World Heavyweight Championship in Italy and France in recent matches, making some historic title defences.

He spoke to the NWA on their website following the tour. He noted that traveling the world and defending his title is what a real champion should be doing. EC3 also added that he wanted the NWA to set up more territories internationally, as well as in the United States.

“There’s always someone working to take your spot while you’re resting. This is what it means to be a real World’s champion. This is where the NWA needs to be, setting up the territories not only domestically but internationally as well.”

EC3 Has ‘Heard Tales’ Of His European Opponents

EC3 continued. He spoke about his opponents on his tour of Europe with the NWA.

He talked about his match with Tristan Archer in France earlier this month . EC3 said he had “heard tales” of his legacy, and defeating him in France as something they need to do as a company.

“ I’ve heard tales. I’ve heard of his legacy. I know of his standing in Europe and standing in the world of professional wrestling.” EC3 said about Tristan Archer. “Again, sharing the ring with Tristan Archer, competing against a man of that caliber, defeating him — whether the ending was nefarious or not.” he said, “This is what we need to do as a company.”

EC3 also talked about facing Red Scorpion and Elijah in Italy . It was a historic match, as it was the first time the NWA World Heavyweight Title had been defended in the country.

“It’s obviously a great honor. It’s obviously tremendous business and obviously a great opportunity to bring the NWA, our style and presentation to a country that’s desperately longing for something of that nature.”

“I had an opportunity to not only wrestle one of Italy’s finest in The Red Scorpion but to also meet an old friend Elijah. I tried to make him sing Creed. Elias” into a duet. He wasn’t amused, but I thought it was incredible”

EC3 added that the NWA should have a presence in Italy going forward, adding to their reach across the globe.

“Italy is awesome. The NWA should have a presence and stronghold in Europe at all times.”

EC3 wants to defend his title in Uganda

EC3 echoed these comments in a recent interview with Wrestlezone . EC3 said the NWA should have a real “world” presence, and he wants to defend his title all over the world. One of the places he’d like to go is Uganda’s Soft Ground Wrestling . EC3 says he would like to compete in SGW, with a specific stipulation.

“I really want to get into those mud pits. Wrestling with the no ropes. I believe Cody bought them a ring though,” EC3 explained. “I want to get there before the ring shows up. I am 100% putting that into the atmosphere and manifesting that I do want to do that. But I mean, anywhere, in the… this dimension of Earth. I’ll defend it in Africa.”
