Could a Real Housewives Spinoff Work for Bravo?

Bravo is all about figuring out new material that could turn into a great series. With the success of Real Housewives , Summer House , and Vanderpump Rules , the network wants to keep growing its portfolio. Fans have heard rumors for years regarding the housewives’ offspring possibly getting their own show one day. After Brooks Marks , along with Gia Giudice , a now-grown Ariana Biermann, and Riley Burruss were caught in NYC in front of the camera, fans started to think the Real Housewives spinoff was becoming a reality.

All the tea about Making it in Manhattan

According to the Bravo press release, Making It in Manhattan will showcase the kids of current and former Real Housewives taking a bite out of the Big Apple. The release noted that the “tight-knit group of friends” are just trying to navigate adulthood. The network went on to say, “While some hail from the spotlight of well-known families, others have created a legacy of their own, but they all are looking to thrive in the city that never sleeps. Together, they will challenge societal norms, redefine success, juggle personal and romantic relationships, and lean on each other for support in order to turn their skyline-high aspirations into reality.”

There is also allegedly some drama between the young adults already. While at the cabaret show, words were exchanged, resulting in everyone leaving the table and Gia calling her mother, Teresa Giudice .

    Bravo has gone Gen Z-ish

Over the last few months, Bravo has been a busy beaver, with fan accounts catching glimpses of the filming. In June, a few cast members were spotted at Countess Luann de Lesseps’s cabaret show with Meredith Marks . While the potential crossover has us salivating, I am unsure about watching these children “struggle” in New York City. But I’ll try to keep an open mind.

There have been plenty of rumors surrounding the newest series. Supposedly, the OG cast wasn’t pleased with Ariana and Miliania Giudice being added to the lineup. But no photos have shown Milania in the cast.  It would be fascinating if there were already a Marks/Giudice feud (totally taking after her mother.) I might need to disengage from the series if it comes to that. I am hoping Riley steps up to the plate. If being the daughter of Kandi Burruss has taught her anything, it is to hustle, work hard, and “don’t start none, there won’t be none.” Hopefully, fans aren’t in store for too many Gen Zs with silver spoons crying if their TikTok was ruined.

The consensus is that Bravo fans have never asked for this particular spinoff. One fan took to Reddit , sharing, “I don’t think already successful Bravo people fit in a show about making it in Manhattan. They’ve already made it.” Another follower added, “Bravo should be more focused on firing dead-weight cast members than designing shows around their PR relationships.” In my opinion, whoever tried to sell Gia and Brooks as entertaining television should probably be pink-slipped. I know I was hard on the idea of The Valley, which ended up being a major hit, but this new series gives me the ick. Something about Gen Z/Nepo Reality Babies grosses me out.

The famous mothers are passing the baton to the younger generation, and fans are left to wonder if the children can even hold a candle to their parents’ legacy. But if there is one cast member I will be rooting for, it is Riley, who recently graduated from New York University. She shared on a TikTok, “Right now, it feels like so much pressure to choose a lifelong thing. I know I’m gonna work with music and everything, but to find one specific route, it’s just… I know a lot of us seniors are stressing right now, but it’s OK, we got this. We just gotta take deep breaths, and we’re gonna get through this.”

Yes, Riley, I couldn’t agree more. Fingers crossed, we will get through this newest spin-off, and it won’t let us down.
