In three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys , Micah Parsons has already established himself as one of the most fearsome defenders in the NFL. The No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft started his career as a hybrid linebacker but has been shifted full-time to a pass rusher.

That has opposing offensive coordinators unable to sleep at night. Figuring out a way to slow Micah Parsons down has been an impossible task to this point.

He has recorded at least 13 sacks in all three seasons in the NFL. The Penn State product was named Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021, finishing second in the Defensive Player of the Year voting.

In Year 2, he finished second again, while he came in at No. 3 in 2023. In each season, he made the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams; twice on the First Team and once on the Second Team.

Given his level of production to this point, it should come as no surprise that analysts think highly of Micah Parsons. Over at Pro Football Network , Dallas Robinson is very high on the Dallas Cowboys edge rusher.

Robinson recently released his list of the top 100 players in the NFL. Coming in at No. 4 was the Dallas Cowboys star.

“While Micah Parsons’ 14 sacks ranked just tied for seventh in the NFL in 2023, pressures are more indicative of performance than pure sacks.

Parsons led the league with 102 total pressures, per PFF. He finished first in pass-rush win rate (37%) despite being double-teamed at a higher rate (34%) than any other edge defender. That shouldn’t be possible,” Robinson wrote.

That is a very lofty ranking for Micah Parsons. The only players ahead of him on the list are Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns and Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.

That is two MVPs and one Defensive Player of the Year ahead of the Dallas Cowboys standout. Micah Parsons is in an elite company, recognition he has earned with his production to this point.

Arguably the most impressive thing that he has brought to the table is durability. He missed one game as a rookie, the season finale that most of the Dallas Cowboys starters were held out of.

Micah Parsons has played in 34 consecutive games since and is barely scratching the surface of his potential. Entering Year 4, big things are on the horizon for the Dallas Cowboys leader defensively.
