    15 earn all-state honors in softball

    Fifteen players from Johnston County have earned all-state honors in softball for the 2024 season.

    They are listed below by high school.

    Clayton — Autumn Joyce, a junior outfielder; Reese Miller, a senior third baseman and shortstop; and Izzy Tart, a sophomore pitcher.

    Cleveland — Kendall Gaunt, a junior shortstop; Karsyn Hudacky, a sophomore pitcher and second baseman; and Lani Pennica, a senior pitcher.

    Corinth Holders — Ava Marks, a sophomore shortstop; and Lauren Sizemore, a sophomore first baseman.

    Princeton — Lilly Holmes, a senior shortstop and utility player; and Kaydon Roberson, a senior second baseman and utility player.

    South Johnston — Allison Barbour, a junior third baseman; Reese Penny, a junior catcher; Lannah Price, a junior outfielder; and Ava Strickland, a junior pitcher and first baseman.

    West Johnston — Laney Pearce, a junior shortstop.
