    Updated weather warnings for Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties

    WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Tuesday’s severe weather has returned to Northern New York with a fresh batch of watches and warnings.

    A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Central Lewis County until 7:30 p.m. tonight. Areas such as  Lowville, Whetstone Gulf State Park, Highmarket, Denmark, New Bremen, Watson, Martinsburg, Lyonsdale, Greig, Port Leyden, Croghan, Lyons Falls, Castorland, Constableville, Turin, Sperryville, Beaver Falls, Brantingham and other places could get heavy rain from thunderstorms.

    A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was in effect for Jefferson and Lewis counties until 4:15 p.m. with areas like the ones mentioned before in the path of a storm.

    Lewis County was already dealing with the damage from the remnants of Hurricane Beryl that happened last week.

    A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for St. Lawrence counties until 6 p.m. tonight. The previous warning for Jefferson and Lewis counties were canceled.
