Born on April 10, 1997, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Taryn Kloth is a rising star in the world of beach volleyball. The 27-year-old athlete, standing at 6-foot-4, is set to make her Olympic debut at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, alongside her partner Kristen Nuss .

Kloth's journey to the Olympics is a testament to her fearlessness and dedication. She began her volleyball career playing indoors and only switched to beach volleyball in 2019. Despite being a newcomer to the sport, Kloth quickly made a name for herself. She started her college career at Creighton University, where she was a two-time first-team All-BIG EAST performer and an honorable mention All-American. After graduating, she transferred to Louisiana State University (LSU) to join their beach volleyball program.

Kloth told NBCOlympics.com , "I couldn't walk and chew gum in the sand" about her early days in beach volleyball. However, her determination paid off. In 2023, during Olympic qualifying competitions, Kloth and Nuss won three tournaments and finished among the top 3 seven times.

Kloth's success is not limited to the volleyball court. She was Creighton’s 2018-19 Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, finishing with a 3.87 GPA in finance and marketing. Her college volleyball coach, Kirsten Bernthal Booth , told Creighton.edu , "I think she encompasses what is right about college athletics."

Off the court, Kloth is engaged to Eric Brasher , with plans to marry after the Olympics. She is one of eight children.
