Ragdoll Cat's Amazement While Mom Makes Iced Coffee Makes Her a True Barista

It's not as hard to entertain a cat as people think. Yes, having an indoor cat definitely requires more enrichment than having an outdoor one, but it can be done, and even the simplest of tasks can be surprisingly entertaining.

One perfect example of this comes from a TikTok posted on Sunday, July 14th. While she makes her daily iced coffee, a cat mom decided to let her Ragdoll cat watch, and she absolutely loved it:

I've seen lots of cats amused by lots of things in my day, but I have to admit that @nata.philomena's cat might have to be one of the cutest ones I've ever seen.

Though Ella does live with her mom and she loves her very much, she's actually not the main focus of the page; mom does pageants, and she dedicates most of her videos to sharing pageant prep with her followers. I don't know if having pets is a part of pageantry, but if it is, I bet Ella could totally help her win!

However, for now, Ella just likes to snuggle with her mom and watch her make her coffee every day. She specifically likes to watch the cream get poured in, and so do most humans; if makes a cool pattern. Stirring the coffee also makes a cool pattern, and it makes a fun noise. Ella loves watching mom make coffee as much as mom likes making it!

Simple Ways to Keep Cats Busy

If you want to keep your cats indoors, you'll need to spend a little bit of extra time keeping them occupied. They get all of their enrichment from things you provide for them, and if you're not providing enough, you might find that they start to rebel.

Luckily, even though cats are intelligent, they're also pretty easy to entertain. Some favorite activities among cats are:

1. Running after laser pointers.
2. Playing hide and seek with you or other cats.
1. Providing lots of cat houses or hiding spots are great for this!
3. Anything that require hunting, like chasing toys on strings.
4. Climbing and scratching; cat trees or even built in shelves are perfect here.
5. Venturing outside (in a carrier, closed-in catio, or on a leash.
6. Watching things they don't get to see a lot, like birds, fish, or someone stirring cream into their coffee.

If you own your home or get permission from your landlord, you can really build something cool and permanent in your home, almost like a kitty obstacle course . If you keep switching things up and adding to it, your cat will never get bored. Ella definitely doesn't!
