NIANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — Three Connecticut National Guard officer candidates were taken to a hospital for evaluation after “feeling the physical effects of the heat,” according to the National Guard.

Members of the Connecticut National Guard Officer Candidate School were conducting a ruck march on Tuesday at Camp Nett in Niantic when five candidates reported they were experiencing issues from the heat.
