Only the parties directly involved and true lip-syncing experts know what Jaylen Brown said about Bronny James' NBA prospects while sitting courtside at the Las Vegas Summer League on Monday night.

Definitely not up for debate, though? Angel Reese's apparent interest in staying out of that inevitable fray.

During the game, Brown allegedly told presumed girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick, who is Reese's former Chicago teammate, that he doesn't think James is an NBA player. The Chicago Sky star could be seen initially engaging with her fellow summer league patrons before quickly resorting to pointed scrolling on her phone while the conversation continued.

Reese, evidently, is already way more media savvy amid her WNBA debut season than the Boston Celtics' veteran.

Fans, unsurprisingly, took amusing note of Reese's deflection, too.

Reese has emerged as an instant impact player for the Sky during her rookie season, averaging 13.5 points and 12 rebounds per game while leading the WNBA in offensive rebounds. She's already been named an All-Star and is poised to finish first or second in Rookie of the Year voting alongside longtime foil Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever.

James, meanwhile, has struggled during his first taste of pro action in the summer leagues. The son of Los Angeles Lakers teammate LeBron James is averaging 4.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals across four games while shooting a dismal 7-of-31 from the floor.
