OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A man with active warrants faces additional charges after he ran from deputies, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.

Deputies say they arrested Joshua Douglas, who had active warrants for fleeing and eluding, possession of a controlled substance, resisting without violence, and driving on a suspended license, after he ran into the woods near Summertime Drive in Holt.

With the help of K-9 units, deputies say they tracked Douglas for approximately 2 miles before they found him hiding in foliage and took him into custody.

“Special thanks to the quick response of OCI K-9 units!” the post said.
