Taylor Swift 'realized a dream' by exploring stunning Irish location during Eras Tour

Taylor Swift's love for Ireland is well-documented , and now tales of her adventures on the Emerald Isle are coming to light , including a visit to a breathtaking spot on the west coast. The Connaught Telegraph reports that Taylor finally realised her dream of visiting Achill Island in Co Mayo .

She's a known admirer of the film The Banshees of Inisherin, particularly the iconic pub, JJ Devines, which was constructed specifically for the movie . Among the scenic locations she visited were Cloughmore, where the famous pub is located, as well as other picturesque spots like Slievemore, Dugort, Dooagh and Keem Bay.

A local told the Connaught Telegraph that Taylor wanted to see if Achill was as beautiful as it appeared in the film, reports Galway Beo . "She took a break from her busy schedule to see if Achill was as stunning as it was depicted in 'The Banshee of Inisherin.' She commented on how beautiful a place it was to live. She came across as a really warm and lovely person. It was a pleasure to meet her."

Swift has been open about her affection for The Banshees of Inisherin, previously stating: "It's such a special film. Watching it with others, I think it's one of those films that's going to resonate and provoke discussion afterwards. Because I've been talking about it ever since."

Owner Luke Mee, who previously invited Swift to his pub , undertook a labour of love, painstakingly reassembling the pub in Co Galway after filming for Banshees came to an end. JJ Devine's Pub - which post-filming was reduced to a heap of materials left in a yard - was salvaged by Kilkerrin local and publican, Mee, who embarked on the restoration project.

Once his plan got the green light, Luke transported the disassembled pub back to Galway and meticulously restored it to fit within the large barn at the rear of Mee's pub. However, the entire endeavour was kept under wraps for months.

Mee revealed: "All the structural parts were in good condition, so I took them back to the yard at the back of Mee's Bar here in Kilkerrin in Galway and set about returning the iconic pub to its former glory. But that certainly won't be the end of it if the New York Times are to be believed."

When Taylor graced the stage at the Aviva Stadium, she hailed the home crowd as "the best."

" Dublin , that made me feel amazing, I think it is gone straight to my head, you guys are making me feel like I'm playing a sold-out show in the Aviva on a Friday night," she gushed, appearing genuinely moved by the response from the 50,000-plus audience.

She went on to say: "It is such an honour and a thrill to say Dublin, welcome to the Eras Tour. You guys are the best, you know that right? Not only do you know the lyrics, you are screaming all the lyrics. You are amazing."

Dublin saw seismic activity reaching as far afield as Wexford due to the enthusiastic crowds at Taylor Swift's gig. According to findings from the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS), Swift's song 'Bad Blood' elicited seismic activity during her three-night Eras Tour; surprising, considering Wexford's distance over 100km away.

The crowd's response to 'Shake It Off', matched the song's observed frequency of 2.66Hz and 160 beats per minute, researchers explained. Eleanor Dunn, lead researcher on the Swift Quake programme at DIAS, is conducting an Eras Tour seismic study with the aid of 21 seismometers.

She said: "My goal for this research is to create a greater understanding of seismic activity. The engagement with fans has been great so far with lots of people sharing their concert videos with us. The videos help us to enhance our understanding of the seismic impact of each concert and the research data has revealed some fascinating insights into the energy generated by Swifties."

Dunn further noted: "It's important to note the movement generated by the concert was unlikely to have been felt by anyone other than those in the immediate vicinity. Fans took Swift's encouragement to Shake It Off to a new level, with it being detectable over 100km away in Wexford!"
