Two years ago, Australian golfer Cameron Smith won the Open Championship and joined LIV Golf one month later. This weekend, Smith and 17 other LIV golfers will compete in the 2024 British Open Championship looking to be the second LIV player in a row to win a major.
Bryson DeChambeau became the second player to win a major while affiliated with LIV Golf when he won the U.S. Open one month ago. He was the first such player to accomplish that feat since Brooks Koepka won the PGA Championship in 2023.
Of the 18 players from LIV participating in this year's Open Championship, only four of them have previously won the Claret Jug.
Louis Oosthuizen won by seven strokes in 2010, Phil Mickelson shot a 5-under-66 in the final round in 2013. Moving to within the last decade, Henrik Stenson shot a record 63 in his final round in 2016 to win with a record 20-under par 264 and Smith won with a score that was also 20-under par in 2022.
Here are the 18 golfers chasing the Claret Jug this year and their odds to win the 2024 Open Championship.
