Things certainly are complicated with the San Francisco 49ers right now.

Training camp is right around the corner, but it's unclear if one of the team's top playmakers actually will end up being with the team. Star receiver Brandon Aiyuk's future definitely is up in the air. Aiyuk has developed into a true star, but he is due for a new contract and the two sides haven't been able to come to terms on an extension.

Other receivers have locked up new deals this offseason, but Aiyuk has failed to do so this offseason. Tensions seem to have been boiling up for weeks and they came to a head on Tuesday as Aiyuk officially requested to be traded.

It's unclear if his request will be granted, but there could be other issues on the horizon as well. After the news of Aiyuk's request broke, fellow San Francisco receiver Jauan Jennings took to Instagram with a viral message that some have speculated was directed at Aiyuk.

"You gotta be a different type of person to act like you doing everything yourself knowing dang well you not," Jennings posted.

Aiyuk's contract situation has played out throughout the offseason and much of the conversation has just been about whether or not he would return. Not much has been said about how the situation has impacted the locker room and if Jennings' message actually was in response to Aiyuk's request, that could be a sign that some within the team are upset with him.

At this point, there really is no way to know unless you actually are in the room, but hopefully, the overall situation can work itself out soon with training camp almost here.
