    Suspect in May fire on East Side now in custody

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A suspect in a fire that destroyed an East Side home is now in custody.

    Aaron McCrory, 21, was booked into the Mahoning County jail Tuesday on a charge of arson, a fourth-degree felony. He is expected to be arraigned later today in municipal court.

    A warrant was issued Friday charging McCrory with setting a May 26 fire that destroyed a vacant Josephine Street home .

    The home, which had been used for training purposes by the city fire department, was engulfed in flames and is a total loss.
