Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.

During an appearance on the latest episode of the "Club Shay Shay" podcast hosted by Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, star Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams suggested he's staying put amid constant rumors linking him with the New York Jets this summer.

"I’m actively on the Raiders," Adams told Sharpe, as shared by Justin Tasch of the New York Post. "...I’m locked in with the Raiders and I really feel good about this team, and as far as I know, they feel good about me. If that ever changes, if that got to a point where they weren’t feeling the same way, I ain’t done playing, so obviously we would figure out whatever we needed to figure out."

After Jets starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers said last week that he "can't wait to play with [Adams] again," former Gang Green signal-caller and current NFL analyst Boomer Esiason mentioned on multiple occasions he has reasons to believe Adams will begin the 2024 season as a member of the Jets.

Adams and Rodgers were teammates on the Green Bay Packers from 2014 through the 2021 season before the receiver agreed to a five-year, $141.25M contract to join the Raiders via a trade in March 2022.

Adams acknowledged during the podcast that "the thought of playing with Aaron is obviously amazing." It nevertheless sounds like the 31-year-old is prepared to prove he can remain an elite player at the position while catching passes thrown by either 2023 fourth-round draft pick Aidan O'Connell or journeyman Gardner Minshew with the Raiders.

"I’m not afraid to say that he definitely made me better, but he definitely didn’t create me," Adams said about Rodgers. "...I didn’t 'need' him, but it makes life a hell of a lot easier, that’s for sure."

On Tuesday, Adams' agents directly declared that their client "is expected to be with the Raiders as there has been absolutely no trade talk" regarding his services.

Despite Esiason's comments, there's been no public indication the Raiders plan to make Adams available to the Jets or other teams before Las Vegas' regular-season opener at the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 8.
