SILVER ALERT: Northampton police looking for man missing from assisted living facility

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – The Northampton Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man missing from an assisted living facility.

According to Northampton Police Captain Victor Caputo, at around 5:48 a.m. officers were called to Linda Manor located at 349 Haydenville Road for a report of a patient with memory issues who had secretly left the facility.

A Silver Alert was issued for 86-year-old Ruffino Rivera by the Commonwealth Fusion Center. Ruffino is described as 5’5″ tall, approximately 160 pounds, bald with brown eyes. He may be wearing wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, sneakers, and a white “WANDER” bracelet.

Ruffino speaks Spanish and understands English. His nickname is “FEE FEE”, and he recently told a family member that he wanted to return to Puerto Rico.
