Joel Embiid Clowned On Social Media After Hilarious Flopping Fail

Joel Embiid's perceived foul-baiting is one of the most controversial aspects of his play. Plenty of people feel that the Philadelphia 76ers star tries too hard to draw fouls in the NBA. However, FIBA has famously been extremely strict with foul-baiting. NBA players struggled to adjust to these rules in the last few tournaments.

This is Embiid's first experience playing internationally under FIBA rules. So when he tried to draw a foul during Team USA's tune-up against Serbia to no avail, fans ate it up like crazy. Many people clowned the 76ers star for attempting to draw a foul in that manner.

Other fans called for the NBA to hire these referees in the United States.

Embiid had yet another sub-par outing for Team USA. He scored just four points, grabbed five rebounds, and had one assist. The 76ers star is clearly struggling to adapt to the international game. The team looked better with Anthony Davis and Bam Adebayo on the court together.

Will Embiid be able to adjust to the international style of play? He and Team USA have two more tune-up games in London to figure things out.
