1 critically injured, 2 seriously injured after 3 vehicle crash in Escambia County: FHP

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — One person was critically injured and two others were seriously injured in a three-vehicle collision Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said in a press release that the crash involved three vehicles that were approaching the merge of Scenic Highway:

• A sedan traveling north on Davis Highway
• A pickup truck traveling south on Davis Highway
• An SUV traveling south on Davis Highway

According to the release, the driver of the sedan drove across the concrete median and into southbound traffic, leading to the front left corner of the sedan hitting the front left of the pickup.

The initial crash caused the pickup to enter the inside southbound lane, and the SUV that was traveling in that lane subsequently collided with the right back corner of the pickup, FHP said.

A 60-year-old man had critical injuries while a 48-year-old man and 63-year-old woman were left with serious injuries.
