Filing for office enters final days

After Wednesday, the following people had filed for municipal office:
• Albemarle: Ronnie Michael, mayor; Martha Sue Hall and Benton Dry, council at-large; Bill Aldridge, council District 3; Dexter Townsend, council District 1.
• Badin: W. Demar Hutley, Gary Rife, Sawyer Wyrick, council.
• Locust: Steve Huber, mayor; Jeff Claiborne, Mario Miller, Mike Haigler, Joseph Abbatiello, Denise (De Dee) Nathan, council.
• Misenheimer: Jamie Hammill, Jeffrey G. Watson, council.
• New London: Bill Peak, Richard Kimmer, Bob Loflin Jr., commissioner.
• Norwood: Linda Campbell, mayor; James Lilly, Robbie Cohen, council.
• Oakboro: Chris N. Huneycutt, mayor; Lanny Hathcock, Fred Smith, Renee Goodman Watkins, Lisa Cratty, commissioner.
• Red Cross: Lionel Hahn, mayor; Barbara Carpenter, council.
• Richfield: Mike Beaver, Barry Byrd, Christy NeCaise, commissioner.
• Stanfield: Karen Faye Love, Andrew W. Cave, Jerry Williams, commissioner.
Filing continues until noon Friday at the Stanly County Board of Elections.
