Mariah May Addresses Turning on Toni Storm On 7/17 AEW Dynamite

Mariah May explained her actions.

On the July 17th episode of AEW Dynamite , Mariah May spoke for the first time since she shockingly turned on AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm the week before. May’s betrayal came right after she won the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament to earn a shot at Storm’s title at AEW All In.

May came to the ring on Wednesday dressed as “Timeless” Toni Storm. As for her betrayal, she said that everyone saw it coming other than Storm. She stated that the question should not be “why”, but rather what took her so long. May explained that it was so easy, and she had fun stringing Storm along and seeing how far it could go.

May then brought up AEW All In and said that she wanted to take Storm out in front of as many people as possible.

The challenger stated that she had been Toni Storm, but now she could be so much more. May said that she still loved Storm, and she had never loved her more than she did when Toni was bleeding after her betrayal. Mariah said that was Storm’s greatest performance, but her own would be at AEW All In.
