Simone Biles is in Paris preparing to compete at the 2024 Olympics. After dominating the competition at the U.S. Gymnastics Trials last month, she clinched her spot on the women's team roster, and is the front-runner to win the all-around competition.

The 27-year-old phenom has a chance to become the most decorated American Olympic gymnast of all time in Paris. Before the competition starts, "Simone Biles Rising," a four-part docuseries premiered on Netflix.

The series follows her devastating run at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, during which she experienced "the twisties," a dangerous situation where a gymnast loses spacial awareness of their body while performing high level events, and her inspiring return to the sport nearly two years later.

Following the premiere of episodes 1 and 2, Biles posted a note to all the fans enjoying the series so far. "so thankful for all the love & support being shown so far! I appreciate y’all XOXO," she started, before sharing a vulnerable message.

"I may have cried 2 or 3x while watching it," Biles continued . "I truly am grateful to have such an amazing & strong support system I see your tweets & insta tags! THANK YOU & to all who follow, watch & support. I’m incredibly grateful! ILY’ALL."

In the series, Biles gets candid about her “meltdown” at the Tokyo games and the shame she felt afterward. "I kinda felt like I was in jail with my own brain and body,” the nine-time national champion admits.

Biles opens up about all the trauma that led to her break down on the international stage. “Your body can only function for so long before your fuses blow out.”

Biles credits her husband, Jonathan Owens, for his endless support through those dark times.

“He’s like, ‘You’ll get back to where you were,’ and made sure I was staying on top of my training. He was making sure I was going to my therapy sessions and trying to do as much as he could without kind of being bossy,” she says in the show.

For fans looking to watch Biles compete in Paris, the women's team final is on July 30, while the individual all-around final is on August 1.
