Ange Postecoglou has firmly dismissed rumors linking him to the England manager job following Gareth Southgate's resignation.

The Australian, who led Tottenham to a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season, insists his focus remains on bringing success to Spurs.

Since Southgate's resignation on Tuesday, several names have surfaced as potential successors, including Graham Potter, Eddie Howe, Mauricio Pochettino, Jurgen Klopp, Lee Carsley and Pep Guardiola.

On Wednesday, Postecoglou's name also entered the mix, particularly due to his impressive attacking style of football which aligns with what the FA is seeking, as per The Telegraph .

What has Ange Postecoglou said about England job?

During a pre-season friendly in Scotland against Hearts, where Spurs secured a 5-1 victory, Postecoglou addressed the speculation in typically bullish fashion.

Mate, I was having a nap this afternoon so I've got no idea! I'm Tottenham manager and I'm determined to bring success to this club, as I have at every other club I've been at. That's where my focus is totally.

Postecoglou emphasized that his work at Tottenham is far from complete, adding: "We haven’t achieved anything yet. So until we achieve something, my work is not done."

He also humorously downplayed the rumors about the England job, saying: "I reckon by the end of it there will be 100 of them (candidates). I'm in the top 100, thank you. That's decent. "
