22-year-old man dies after being hit by vehicle in Henrico County

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A 22-year-old man died in the hospital Friday morning after he was hit by a vehicle in Henrico County Thursday evening.

At 8:53 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, officers and responders with the Henrico County Division of Police and Fire arrived at the intersection of Cedar Fork Road and Tiffanywoods Court for the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

When they arrived, officers found a man in the road with serious injuries. First responders took him to a local hospital where early in the morning on Friday, July 18, he died due to his injuries.

Police identified him as 22-year-old Tyrone Calvin Jeffries, of Henrico County.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, according to police. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors on the driver’s part, although the investigation remains ongoing.
