Breece Hall Sends Clear Message To Aaron Rodgers Before Jets Training Camp

New York Jets running back Breece Hall showcased his excitement over the return of quarterback Aaron Rodgers while appearing on "Up and Adams" on Thursday. But in some ways, Hall's job with Rodgers back won't be all that different than a year ago with Rodgers' sidelined.

Hall explained to host Kay Adams that he will be the playmaker Rodgers and the Jets turn to the most this season.

"It feels really good just knowing that I'm servicing him," Hall said of Rodgers' return. "I'm going to be one of his best friends just him coming off his injury. Me being the bell cow of the team, I'm going to be getting the ball the most.

"For me, it's just, I'm trying to put our team in the best position possible. And then, I want everybody to kind of follow, obviously, we're following Aaron's lead, but I feel like everybody looks at me in the same aspect if I'm the best playmaker on the team. So, our offense goes as I go."

Hall touched the ball 200 more times than any other Jets offensive playmaker last season. With 299 touches, Hall recorded 1,585 yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns.

On the ground, Hall averaged 4.5 yards per carry with 994 rushing yards and five scores.

Rodgers will be returning from an Achilles tendon rupture that he suffered on the fourth play from scrimmage last season. Rodgers will turn 41 years old before the end of the 2024 regular season.
