Skip Bayless is no longer going to be the host of Fox Sports 1's "Undisputed." Per a recent report, Bayless will host his final show this summer, putting an end to an eight-year run and raising the question as to what the next chapter will be for the 72-year-old.

After co-host Shannon Sharpe's departure a year ago, the network was unable to find a replacement, and now Bayless is leaving as well.

As many have reacted to the news, former NFL MVP Cam Newton ripped Bayless apart in an epic rant on his podcast, "4th & 1 With Cam Newton."

"You’re not the main attraction, Skip; you’re the co-host being portrayed as if you’re bigger. The real reality was you were the co-host, sad. You embarrassed a man on national television, made him try to feel so small. ‘Put your glasses back on,’ like you demonized this man, so small. A person who’s done so much for the game of football. A Hall of Famer, there’s nothing higher than that—a Super Bowl, nothing higher than that."

The feud between Newton and Bayless is nothing new, and the former signal-caller continued to put Bayless on blast on his show.

"That’s the thing that we’ve identified about Skip Bayless. Skip Bayless doesn’t like to be challenged. He wants to be the main attraction. You’re not the main attraction, bro... He needs somebody more entertaining to make him be great. Scottie Pippen needed somebody like Jordan to really show his true greatness. Everybody can’t be that, bro, and that is OK."

While Newton's comments are harsh, Bayless' longtime co-host on ESPN's "First Take," Stephen A. Smith, had some heartwarming words .

“Where I am, where I’ve been, and especially where the hell I’m going with the stuff I’ve got coming down the pike in a matter of months... None of it’s possible if Skip Bayless doesn’t extend that helping hand and bring me on 'First Take.'"

Bayless' future remains up in the air after the shocking news of his time at "Undisputed" coming to an end.
