Diana Taurasi has plenty of motivation heading to the 2024 Olympics with the USA women's basketball team. After all, the Phoenix Mercury star seems to have some pent-up frustrations about how her last Olympics turned out.

The USA women's basketball team has been dominant in the Olympics. In fact, since Taurasi joined the squad in 2004, Team USA hasn't lost in the quadrennial event. However, Taurasi admitted that she didn't particularly like her last Olympics on a personal level.

"I don't love how my last Olympics went personally. I think as a team we still have a lot to prove," the Mercury guard pointed out, via ESPN.

It's really hard to find fault from the current version of Team USA. The squad is simply on another level compared to the other nations, thanks in large part to the deep pool of talent that it has.

But to be fair to Taurasi, she's likely disappointed with her performance in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. She didn't have a standout performance in the competition, and she ended up scoring just a total of 11 points in three knockout games en route to the gold.

Considering how serious Taurasi is about performing well in Paris, it's safe to expect her to have a big game or two as Team USA looks to win gold again.
