New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu was recently awarded the WNBA's Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors.

As the WNBA's official page on X posted the news, they posted Ionescu's stats, but they made the big mistake of plugging in Catlin Clark's highlights with the tweet.

"Sabrina Ionescu has been on fire, delivering back-to-back high-scoring performances to lead her New York Liberty squad to the #1 seed in league standings, earning her Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors," posted the WNBA.

As they shared Ionescu's stats, where she averaged 25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, they added Clark's best plays with the Fever.

The post was deleted around 10 minutes into the release, and fans were still quick to share their reactions.

"WNBA, why delete the video of Caitlin Clark announcing Sabrina the POTW?? Shows how you robbed CC!!!" said one fan.

"Sabrina's name with Caitlin Clark highlights," said another with a laughing emoji.

"Yeah, the Caitlin Clark reel on this post… someone is getting fired today. Wrongfully fired though, since technically Caitlin should have won," commented another.

Clark has yet to win the WNBA's Player of the Week honors. The only rookie to have received the award this season was Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, who averaged 16.8 points and 14.0 rebounds per game during that span.

The rookie out of Iowa recently made WNBA history by securing the most assists in a single game, with 19 against the Dallas Wings on July 17. She also finished that game with 24 points and six rebounds.

Clark is currently averaging 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game.

Fans certainly believed Clark was robbed of the award, with hundreds of people roasting the WNBA on social media.

Despite Clark's being snubbed from the WNBA's weekly honors, fans have something to look forward to. She'll be playing in the WNBA All-Star game on July 20 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
