This week was one of the most exciting weeks in the WNBA this season, as multiple players had outstanding performances such as Chennedy Carter against the Las Vegas Aces, and even Aliyah Boston in the loss to the Dallas Sparks. That said, most of the spotlight has fallen onto Indiana Fever star rookie Caitlin Clark for the historic week she had.

Even so, Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty was named the Eastern Conference player of the week, but the WNBA made a huge mistake when announcing it on Twitter, using a video of Clark's highlights instead of Ionescu's.

Initially, fans thought that the WNBA jumped the gun on a player of the month post, but after analyzing the highlights, that theory is unlikely as it only contained highlights from this past week.

As the tweet said, this is an awful look for the WNBA. This isn't a minor mistake, as every post for an organization that big must have been gone over before being posted. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out as it is already blowing up online.
