Without a doubt, Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever has been the center of attention this month as she has continued to dazzle, even setting the WNBA single-game record for assists with 19 in her loss to the Dallas Sparks. That said, she hasn't been the only player to have a great stretch.

New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu averaged 25.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 5.0 APG this week while leading her team to the #1 seed in the WNBA. These stats were impressive enough to win her the Eastern Conference player of the week. Unfortunately for Ionescu, it appears the WNBA's twitter account didn't exactly get the memo.

While the caption did display Ionescu and her stats, the video certainly didn't correspond with the text. This has led people to believe that they had the montage ready for a reason, and that Clark could be the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for July.

While it is just a theory, it isn't farfetched at all considering the month she's had. It will be exciting to see how it turns out, and to see if they did let one slip early.
