Kevin Durant 's brother, Tony, and father Wayne Pratt insist that Durant is actually 7'0" tall, denying his claim of actually being 6'9". This was part of a video done by Overtime asking young players across the country how tall Durant is. Almost all players, including KD's brother and dad, insisted he is either 7'0" or taller.

Durant recently claimed that he was 6'9" during a Team USA interview, where he took a shot at Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis, and Bam Adebayo for lying about their heights . But now, it appears as though KD may have been less than honest about his height, as everyone around him, including his family members, is saying otherwise.

Durant's height has always been a point of discussion among NBA circles, as many are unsure about how tall he really is. His height has been listed as low as 6'9" (which Durant himself believes) and as high as 7'1", which many in the video above believe to be his real height.

Regardless of the minutia of his height, there is no denying Durant is perhaps the most skilled player at his height in NBA history. Durant is an elite shooter despite being almost 7'0", and has cemented himself as one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. A two-time NBA champion, Durant has secured his legacy as one of the true greats in NBA history.

Kevin Durant Looking To Become Olympic GOAT

KD will be looking to use all 6'9" (or 7'0") of himself to help Team USA win the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This is the fourth consecutive Olympic games for Durant, as he was a key part of the squad's wins in 2012, 2016, and 2020. A gold medal at the Paris Olympics would make him the most successful men's Olympic basketball player in Team USA history, surpassing Carmelo Anthony.

Carmelo Anthony has won three gold medals, the same as Durant, but also won a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics. Durant winning gold would equal Melo's medal count but would bring Durant ahead, as he has more gold medals than him. As things stand, KD is injured and hasn't featured in any of Team USA's practice games.

Durant is coming off a difficult season with the Phoenix Suns. KD still put up great numbers, averaging 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 75 games. However, he and the Suns would be unceremoniously swept in the first round by Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves .

The Phoenix Suns have a lot of issues going on right now, with their massive wage bill making it difficult for them to acquire decent role players, thus limiting their chances of winning a championship. The Suns will pay $421 million in salaries for their roster next year , a massive amount - one which almost demands they win a championship to justify it.

For now, KD will focus on Team USA and the Olympics. With the chance to become the most successful male American player in Olympic history, Durant will be locked in for the tournament, if he is able to make it back from injury in time to play valuable minutes for Steve Kerr's squad.
