Lindsay Hubbard Defends Filming Summer House While Pregnant

Lindsay Hubbard made her pregnancy public over the July 4 weekend. Putting all the rumors to rest, the Summer House star confirmed an expected child for the 2024 holiday season. However, some people responded rather oddly to the news.

Just days before the pregnancy, Bravo confirmed that Lindsay would return for the upcoming Summer House Season 9. Some people took issue with Lindsay trying to do the show while pregnant.

Nevertheless, Lindsay stood her ground. She had responses locked and loaded for her detractors.

Lindsay fully plans to “party” while pregnant

On July 14, Lindsay made an Instagram post that got people in quite a stir. The photo was just a standard pregnancy update photo – a mirror selfie. She captioned the post, “The bump was bumpin.. cub was CUBBIN!” However, a good portion of commenters thought her pregnancy might conflict with her plans to appear on Summer House’s next season.

“Respectfully, not sure why you would go back into a party house ?” one commenter wrote. “You’re in a different era, sister.” Lindsay replied, “Can you not party when you’re pregnant?” Still, another commenter shared a similar sentiment: “Shouldn’t be a summer house. Doesn’t make sense with all the crazy partying.”

Lindsay didn’t hold back with her reply: “At your age, it ‘doesn’t make sense’ for you to be commenting on younger girl’s [sic] profiles.” Luckily, several other commenters had Lindsay’s back. One reminded IG users that pregnant women don’t tend to sit at home and do nothing for nine months.

Another commenter shared their confusion. They wrote, “I have never seen so many people wondering how a pregnant woman could possibly still go on a weekend getaway with her friends whilst baking a Bebe. … What year is this?” Indeed, some sentiments seemed a bit regressive. Lindsay seems to be taking her pregnancy very seriously.

Summer House is streaming on Peacock, with Season 9 expected in early 2025.
