‘Extremely sad’ King Charles is ‘hurt’ over William and Harry’s ongoing feud: report

King Charles is “extremely sad” over the ongoing feud between his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, according to a prominent royal author.

The monarch, 75, has been caught in the middle of the crossfire between the Wales and the Sussex camps ever since Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit royal life and moved to the US in 2020.

Four years later, things are still not getting easier for his majesty to deal with.

“Of course, the king is extremely sad about Harry and Meghan, but there is a sense of exasperation, that he has done what he can and now he is king, there are many more things to think about,” Robert Hardman, royal historian and author of “Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story,” told the Mirror .

“He has tried listening. Now he just says: ‘I don’t want to know what the problem is. I’m just getting on with my life.'”

Hardman said Charles is “hurt” and struggling over the Prince of Wales’ widening rift with his younger son, the Duke of Sussex.

The king’s rumored remarks come just days after royal experts claimed William had made a “tough and resolute” stance on his fractured relationship with his estranged brother.

The brothers — who were once joined at the hip — have not spoken to each other in over a year.

Their already damaged bond was made worse with the release of Harry’s bombshell memoir “Spare” in January 2023.

Elsewhere, another royal expert suggested that it was easier for William to cut ties with his brother than to be “continually annoyed” at him.

“William has always been a strong character,” Jennie Bond told OK! magaz i ne . “I think his broken childhood made him tough and resolute.”

“He now has the reputation of being stubborn and, once his mind is made up, he sticks to his decision,” she added.

Bond suggested that William — who is two years older than Harry — has become the “enforcer” of the Firm since the death of their grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

“He is definitely someone who commands respect within the family and whose views hold considerable sway,” she said of the father of three.
