SYLVAN TWP. (WWJ) — An investigation is underway following an alleged road rage shooting on I-94 in Washtenaw County Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 4 p.m. on July 18 along eastbound I-94 near M-52 in Sylvan Township — about 15 miles west of Ann Arbor — according to Michigan State Police.

Several shots were fired after a black Chevy Equinox and a black Dodge Charger were involved in a road rage incident on the freeway. Authorities did not say which car the shots were fired from.

No injuries were reported during the incident. Authorities didn’t say if anyone is in custody or if any suspects have been identified.

MSP officials are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, or perhaps recorded the incident, to come forward.

Anyone who knows something is urged to call the MSP Brighton Post at 810-227-1051, reference complaint No. 12-5626-24.

    The investigation remains ongoing.
