Five arrested following police chase of two stolen vehicles in Waukesha County

A police pursuit of two stolen vehicles early Wednesday morning in Waukesha County ended in the arrests of five individuals ranging from 15 to 22 years old.

According to a news release from Waukesha County Sheriff's Office:

The Waukesha County Communications Center got a report of a stolen vehicle from Glacier Pass in the Village of Merton around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17. Deputies investigating a separate vehicle entry on McKerrow Drive in the Village of Lisbon saw the stolen vehicle and another speeding south on Highway 164.

Officers with the City of Brookfield used tire deflation devices on the fleeing vehicles. A Waukesha County deputy stopped one vehicle that was reportedly stolen from Milwaukee, taking a 15-year-old and two 12-year-olds into custody.

A Brookfield officer stopped the second car that had continued east on Capitol Drive. The 20-year-old and 22-year-old occupants fled on foot but were apprehended. The pair sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Along with the two stolen vehicles, two firearms, $510 cash, fentanyl, MDMA/Ecstasy, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were recovered during the incident.

Charges forwarded to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office include the following:

• Operating a motor vehicle without owner consent
• Fleeing and eluding
• Recklessly endangering safety
• Possession of a firearm by a felon
• Possession of THC (marijuana)
• Possession of narcotic drugs
• Possession with intent to deliver narcotic drugs
• Possession with intent to deliver THC
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Receiving stolen property
• Resisting/Obstructing
• Felony bail jumping
