Pennsylvania State Police have charged a 69-year-old man with attempted homicide in a shooting that injured one person in Tioga County Thursday.

Mansfield-based troopers were dispatched at about 4:30 p.m. to 1868 E. Lawrence Road, Jackson Township, where state police said a 45-year-old male sustained at least one gunshot wound.

The victim, whose name had not been released Friday, was hospitalized and in stable condition, police said.

Michael Eugene Stickler was charged through a Pennsylvania District Court with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault and possessing instruments of a crime.

Authorities said Stickler appeared at a court arraignment. He is being held in the Tioga County Prison pending a preliminary hearing.

State police called the shooting an "isolated incident."
